At in-person events, attendees are invited to join our text messaging list by texting a specific keyword (e.g., “JOIN” or “COURSE”) to a Twilio-managed phone number. These invitations appear on clearly visible signage or are delivered through live announcements. The messaging includes:

  • An explanation that they will receive an automated confirmation message

  • A notice about message frequency (occasional)

  • Disclosure of potential message and data rates

Confirmation Message
After sending the keyword, the individual immediately receives an SMS confirmation message via Twilio, such as:

Nature of Communications
Subscribers may receive occasional messages related to:

  • New or upcoming online courses
